If a passenger forgets to take their belongings after a trip, please follow the steps below based on the situation:
1. If You Know Which Passenger Left the Item and It’s Within 72 Hours After the Trip:
Step 1: Contact the Passenger via the App
- Open the TaxiGo Driver App
- Tap the Menu (≡) in the top left corner
- Go to Trip History
- Locate the specific trip
- Tap Trip Details and then Call User
(Note: The “Call User” button will disappear after 72 hours.)
Step 2: Ask the Passenger How They Would Like the Item Handled
2. If the Passenger Wants the Item Delivered to a Specific Location:
- For Yellow Taxis:
Inform the passenger of your departure location and that the meter fare will apply to avoid disputes. - For Multi-Purpose Taxis:
Since metered fares are not used, please deliver the item to the nearest police station instead.
Keep a record of the report and notify customer support.
3. If the Passenger Requests Delivery to a Police Station:
- If the Police Station Accepts the Item:
Provide the station address to the passenger, keep a record of the report, and notify customer support. - If the Police Station Does Not Accept the Item:
Discuss with the passenger if they'd prefer it delivered to another specific location. - If You Cannot Identify the Passenger or More Than 72 Hours Have Passed:
- Step 1: Bring the item to the nearest police station or Police Broadcasting Service (PBS) station.
- Step 2: Notify the passenger (if possible) and ask how they’d like the item handled.
- If delivered to PBS, notify customer support for record-keeping.
- If delivered to a police station, provide the station’s name and address, keep the report, and notify customer support.
Special Reminders:
- Our service locations do not collect or store lost items. Please do not drop items off there.
- Perishable items: Report the found time and description to customer support. You may dispose of these afterward.
- Items valued under TWD $500: It is recommended to take them to a police station. If the station refuses to accept them, keep the item for one month before disposing of it.
